Download here the Question paper and solution of Civil Services 2009 Preliminary examination (GS Paper).

The total number of questions are 150 in General studies. Full Marks 150 and negative marking was 0.25 for each wrong answer.

The duration of exam was 2 hour. The cutoff marks for UPSC pre was around 92 in General studies paper (GS Paper).

The total number of question on optional paper was 120, time 2 hour, full marks was 300. There was provision for negative marking.

To quilfy in optional paper you need to give correct answer of minimum 80 to 93 question out of 120 questions.
